Friends @ Crossgar is located in the historic Market House situated at the Square, Crossgar. The building was erected in 1829 to serve out the newly laid Market Square in Crossgar. During the early 1900s the upper floor served as school to the local community and by the late 1900s the building served as a Church Hall.

Having been derelict for a number of years – the Market House was restored to its former glory in 2012 and is now home to Friends Day Nursery.  The nursery is housed over two floors creating a large, spacious, naturally bright and modern facility.

Downstairs utilises space to comprise a bright baby unit, ‘wobbler’ unit and ‘toddler’ unit.  Whilst upstairs caters for older children in the pre-school room and after school club.  All rooms have their own play, art, dining and sleep areas and our room organisation and age groupings ensure that all children have plenty of time and space to explore, play and learn, but most of all to enjoy their day. Outside, the secured enclosed play area allows for outdoor fun and games whilst gaining physical skills, fresh air and lots of exercise.

Friends also operates another Afterschool club in Crossgar known as Friends@Cedar.  It's located at Cedar Integrated Primary School, 29 Kilmore Road, Crossgar offering an out of school care facility for children in the form of breakfast and after school club during term time.  The children have the opportunity to take part in a variety of activities at the club, including art and crafts, board games, construction toys, outdoor physical play, or they can just chill out with friends after a day at school.
